Are a group which was set up a little over 12 months ago to represent the community’s view about Bury Lodge Park and to work with the Council authorities to improve the park. As part of our work we need to canvas the community’s views about various issues. We would be grateful if you could complete the survey and return it to the school by Friday 16th July 2010.
Now that the weather appears to be getting better, could parents please ensure that P.E. kits are left at school at all times. During good weather P.E. may be taken outside. Please check everything is labelled/named and that the plimsolls fit correctly.
For the added security of the school site we have now restricted times when parents/carers have access to the Nursery. The times are as follows:-
We understand there may be occasions when parents/carers may need time to settle their child. In this instance staff will allow access.
This scheme encourages pupils and parents to walk to school as much as possible or even to split the journey to school so that children walk part of the journey. This scheme aims to cut down on pollution and encourage people to be more environmentally friendly and active. Children will be asked what mode of transport to school they use every day and they are rewarded at the end of each month with a badge if they walk to school as many times as possible.
Parents should have received these dates. We have had a lot of parents asking about the return to school in September. We can confirm that the school is open to children on Monday 6th September. (Staff have inset days – 1st, 2nd and 3rd September).
The contractors have an excellent website for our new classrooms and dining facilities project that you might want to visit.
