Silver Standard Primary Science Quality Mark — we have achieved the Silver Standard Primary Science Quality Mark. This award is endorsed by the Wellcome Trust and Association for Science Education and reflects the quality of teaching and learning that takes place.
Activemark — To promote lifelong values in health and physical activity by providing enjoyable opportunities for all young people to participate in quality curriculum PE and OSHL, whilst improving their self-confidence and therefore allowing them to achieve their full potential in all aspects of school and community life.
Charter standard — The FA Charter Standard Programme provides recognition that clubs are well run and sustainable, with child protection and safety paramount. It also recognises a club's commitment to coaching, player and coach development, and the raising of standards of behaviour in the game - all of which are big priorities for both me and The FA.
Healthy Schools —
In ten years the National Healthy Schools Programme has become one of the country’s most widely embraced initiatives in schools. More than 4 million children and young people are currently enjoying the benefits of attending a Healthy School.
Investors in People — The UK’s leading people management standard, Investors in People provides a simple and flexible framework helping thousands organisations of all sizes and sectors to improve their business performance.
School Achievement Award—
Awards are being given to schools where pupils' results in 2002 were substantially better than in 1999 or where results in 2002 were better than most schools in similar circumstances in that year.
Middlesex University —
Raglan Infants received Training Partner Status a few years ago in recognition of our excellent work with trainee teachers.Our continued partnership with Middlesex is highly valued and we help to place and help train approximately 6 trainee teachers a year.
The kitemark and plaque were given in recognition of our committment.The majority of the staff are trained mentors.
Graduate Teacher Programme —We have trained several teachers in past years following the Graduate Teacher Programme (GTP).
We work also with trainees from other instutions such as Herts University and St. Mary's. We provide placements for work experience and students following child care courses from Enfield, Barnet and Herts Regional.
2Schools Consortium — We are also in partnership with two schools in Waltham Cross and Enfield.These two schools are accredited providers of Initial teacher Training .We offer short placements for trainees from this instution on a regular basis.
Leading Parent Partnership Award — LPPA provides a challenging framework to enable schools to strengthen their partnership with parents and carers. It is a developmental process which, through the involvement of parents, aims to enhance children's life chances at all stages from nursery to secondary.
