This is a large Infant School with a Nursery Class.
Every child is individual and special to us. We want the best for each boy and girl. We aim to meet the needs of all pupils as closely as we can so that each child will thrive.
Are a group which was set up a little over 12 months ago to represent the community’s view about Bury Lodge Park and to work with the Council authorities to improve the park. As part of our work we need to canvas the community’s views about various issues. We would be grateful if you could complete the survey and return it to the school by Friday 16th July 2010.
Any Parents who were unable to attend the introductory session on Tuesday the 15th June will have all the materials sent home to them this week.
Another tour of the school has been organised on July the 7th at 1pm (before the open afternoon which starts at 2pm) for the parents who could not make it on the 15th June.
An opportunity to tour the school is offered to all parents and children and to say hello to your new teachers from 2pm. A further opportunity to meet the teacher will be given in September.
Almost everything we share is on the Junior website under resources section. Support materials for children starting in year 3 as well as Mathematics and English resources for parents can also be found here.
Year 2 children recently took part in a Young Writers Poetry Competition. They had to write their own acrostic poem. We are delighted that several children were successful and their poems will be published in “My First Acrostic-Poems from London & Middlesex on 31st August. Successful poets all received a book mark and certificate. Congratulations!
This scheme encourages pupils and parents to walk to school as much as possible or even to split the journey to school so that children walk part of the journey. This scheme aims to cut down on pollution and encourage people to be more environmentally friendly and active. Children will be asked what mode of transport to school they use every day and they are rewarded at the end of each month with a badge if they walk to school as many times as possible.
The contractors have an excellent website for our new classrooms and dining facilities project that you might want to visit.
